Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival is a three-day musical event devoted to Afro-Caribbean and Creole sounds that brings local, regional, and international acts to Roseau, Dominica the last weekend in October. 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of this major Caribbean Music Festival and is anticipated to be a BIG one.
A celebration of Caribbean sounds, the festival covers genres such as Cadence-lypso, Kompa, Zouk, Soukous, Bouyon, Zydeco, and Afrobeat, among others, for a weekend of captivating beats and electrifying vibrations. The festival has attracted lovers of Afro-Caribbean sounds to Dominica for over two decades and has brought big names to its stage in years past.
The event has featured international talent like Nigerian Afro-pop artist Joeboy, Soca legend Machel Montano, Jamaican dancehall sensation Popcaan, and Cadence-lypso pioneer Gordon Henderson, Beres Hammond, Tabou Combo, TK International, Michele Henderson, Patrice Roberts, Midnight Groovers, Vayb, Joelle Ursull, Njie, Medhy Custos, Jean Luc Guanel, Extasy and many more.
The annual Dominica World Creole Music Festival caps off Dominica’s Independence month celebrations and coincides with International Creole Day. As such, the festival weekend also celebrates all things Creole with food stalls serving up savory fare and local artisans proudly displaying their crafts. This year’s festival promises another weekend of electrifying revelry, beckoning music enthusiasts to the lush Caribbean island of Dominica.
